Freight forwarder turns the tables – and finds the perfect dispatcher with a focus on sea freight in Riverstate.
There are many ways to move goods from A to B – and Hermes Shipping & Airfreight GmbH knows them all. Whether by air, sea, road, or rail: The Hamburg-based freight forwarder gets every freight to its destination, having stood for reliable and flexible transport and logistics services since its founding in 2004. The company’s main focus is on importing goods from China.
Christian Prüß, the contact person for sea and air freight, is one of the company’s three managing directors and also responsible for recruiting. The problem: a lack of response, across all channels. The search for a freight forwarding clerk for sea freight import was particularly difficult.
“We tried for a long time to find people ourselves,” explains Christian. “Starting with ads at the employment agency, which yielded almost nothing, to ads on Stepstone, which weren’t particularly successful either.”
